in the first 3 seconds he was actually solving the rubik’s cube with a real method and not redoing a scramble(that middle layer and top layer moves are an actual sequence you need to do to solve a specific case on the cube if it happens)
for non “cubers” to solve a rubik’s cube you need to memorize in the first to steps how to put pieces without breaking the other pieces(putting them in the wrong place again) and in the 3rd and 4th steps you memorize what to do if something specific happens.
in the normal method you memorize 10 cases and sequences for them in the 3rd step and 6 in the 4th, in the advanced method you learn 57 CASES in the 3rd step and 21 in the 4th
