To all those who don’t know: Cena was told the Undertaker was there for him that night. So, Cena got ready for the match.

@Ryan Purple Nintendo Eater yes it’s scripted, as much as you can with a wrestling match. But what happens when one person shows up on time for a live somewhat scripted event, and the other person is nowhere to be scene, because they are late, due to their flight? They make the guy who showed up, watch from the audience just incase his opponent shows up, before the end of the live event. Undertaker showed up late, but still in time, the ref told Cena, Cena ran to get ready. You see just because something is scripted or planned out, doesn’t mean everything always goes according to plan. That’s why in theater they have understudies for the live shows. Just incase the main person can’t do the show for any reason. Wrestling makes up for by having other matches. I hope this helps you understand live shows, and how they work. That just because something is “scripted”, doesn’t mean things can’t go off script. Hell some of the best lines in movies, were off the cuff remarks, that went off script. And that’s with an actual written out script, with character scene placement, for the perfect shot setup, with set lighting, and deliberate camera placement.
The story line to this was Cena didn’t get to have a match. Undertaker hadn’t acknowledged him to this point when he challenged on the other shows. So he came to wrestle mania as a fan. And at the last minute he gets his match so he has to run and prepare. Yes it’s scripted. That was the script. All of it
