I love how the collaboration partners always send a video and not just an audio recording its a great asthetic!
edit: boys get in here right now i’m famous
@Dinonuggs Meal Reddit culture is exactly what Candy is doing. Acting like they know something but got nothing to say about it. Just a bunch of people that are all going ‘I’m smarter than you bc my mama said so!’ or ‘I know something you don’t know!’
Song is called FALSE ALARM by Connor Price & Lucca DL and it’s out now! If you wanna hear the full track here is the link 🫶 https://fanlink.to/FalseAlarm
The fact that he has wanted to collaborate with you and he delivered well gave me goosebumps, THIS IS NOT A FALSE ALARM 🚨🚨🚨🚨 Jeez 🤭 Connor price replied, someone should come and pour water on my head
This actually is basically a whole language by itself. pretty common in latin america (especially for the younger people). Basically they mix Spanish (or Portuguese) and English Vocabulary and Grammar. They can easily switch between languages mid-sentence and there are even a few completely new words.
God
I cannot explain how much I love when they just start speaking their non-English language halfway through the song. It just gives it some extra flair that I can’t really find the words to describe
Also what part of any of this do I “need to care to say”?
Like, yeah I don’t care about learning how to speak Protroguese and know nothing about Brazil outside of this video, and you’ve done a great job of taking away what little incentive I had to learn more, but so what? Can’t I just say the language sounds cool in a rap song because it does?
You say Americans don’t care about your culture, but have you ever considered that maybe that’s because when they try to care, you bombard them with all this gatekeepy bullshit and start getting all territorial?
@HBegaming YT this isn’t our point, our problem is only with your approach to refering to the other languages, by labeling them “non-english”, its where all the memes are focused at. But outside of that learn about us, we will love it! we also think our language sounds cool and has a lot of room for personality on the speaking. so again sorry if you felt wrongly attacked.
@KiFaKo_47 I understand. But just like I don’t qualify American English and British English (I call both of them English even though there are big differences) and Spanish from various Latin American countries and Spain, I also don’t qualify Portuguese. I understand there are big differences. But at its base, it is Portuguese.
You people have NO IDEA how big the smile on my face was when i realized he was finally making a song with a brazilian artist!! And its do friggin good too! I love it already, dude is absolutely slaying those lyricsXD just- HDIDJDKDJ my little brazilian heart is going to EXPLODE

Reddit culture
@Candy Butcher what is? I’ve never had Reddit and never will but I’m curious
They are sending him audio, they send videos for music videos once the song is done

@A K you mean the guy I replied to? Or my original comment?
I appreciate the dude said “I come from a city that doesn’t play” rather than specifying a place. Now we can all relate to it
nah i wanna see ppl reppin they cities not making their lyrics inclusive for the masses
@Arma070 england got a cricket team
@Gargi Mishra England is my city
@Kleber DeGracia nah he was referring to Antarctica
@Arma070 yea it’s definitely a city with no cricket team
My bad

“well if i happen to land on brazil-”
I bet that took him so many tries if he was trying to get it-
América do Sul 70% dela é Brasil
Nah man, Brazil is huge
@Colorful What? No he didn’t. The continents of Africa and South America may be similar, but he definitely landed on Brazil.
There is only one way – to enjoy and switch off the detective mode, or to stop watching these 😉
I was looking for this comment
The perfect beat and an awsome mixture of portuguese and english
@Drex1 it’s Portuguese 👁👄👁
Edited: bet you said Spanish and not Portuguese, you need to say sorry again !
@chris caron how?
Couldn’t s/he differ between his/her own language and Spanish ?👁👄👁
@chris caron I have edited because I wrote “this bar” instead of “the bar”.
@BOKU WA TOBI you’re afraid that you misgender a cat 😭💀
The way he switches languages to keep a rhyme is impressive
It’s not just Brazilians, Portuguese do the same. English words are better and get better in quotes and songs and most agree
@gamer521s alt account lixo means garbage in Portuguese
@Memator I already know
You replied to a reply I wrote like weeks ago
@Its Beaker literally what i was going to say 😭 rappers in kpop make insane songs by mixing english with korean

It’s amazing with what he can do with Portuguese, never thought that my own language could be this good in music
fr as a non english person I agree
The seamless transition from English to Portuguese while keeping the rhyme. Straight fire.
I know no one cares but as a portuguese and not brazilian, you should say from english to brazilian portuguese
There is teally big differances

As a brazilian, the transition from brazilian portuguese to english was simply FIRE!
Cousin, will you ever put a song together with all of the artist that you’ve collaborated with? I think that would be dope.
His face while listening to the beat is just undescribable 🤣
Cant express how much I love your amazing work
