It’s the same info on google that i found pretty much, no skill needed so i did not watch all of it but the moon is slowly getting farther gravitational forces can impact an objects spin early earth spun faster than slowed down due to the moon.

Time is a constant, it doesn’t change regardless of how fast the planets move. It would still be constant even if there were no planets. .
That’s actually totally wrong. Time fluctuates depending on altitude and speed of the object. When you go out in space time doesn’t run at the same pace as down here.

I thought it was because our magnetic poles are moving fairly fast now and the north magnetic pole is way off from where we’ve been used to. So now earths magnetic shield is collapsing and becoming weaker making us very susceptible to a solar flare if we are hit. Added to that the solar cycles have an impact on our climate so maybe it also impacts the rotation.

Would have the opposite effect because ice sheets are mostly at the poles, so the lost weight would be spread around the oceans
@John MacLeod The snow on mountain tops aren’t limited to polar regions and remember during last year’s heat dome, temperatures of 30 C were reached at those mountain tops. Besides, the point is that it could just be a redistribution of mass on Earth to cause a faster spin.

I have to say that me and a lot of my friends keep complaining for the last few years of how fast time passes lately.
But I honestly believe that’s exacerbated by the fact that we’re all so immersed in technology, ie computers, our phones, video games, television shows and now “metaverse” coming…our time seems to go so much faster. If I’m on social media and I say, I’ll only be on it for 30 minutes. Next thing you know, it feels like 30 min but it’s been almost 2 HOURS!! It didn’t even feel like it. Anyway, I feel like that’s part of the problem.
