  1. Mostly agree, but as I started buying and maintaining rental properties, it would have been very hard to do that as a main hustle, and at the beginning it would have left too much time open. So real estate was my side hustle. Now I am nearly at the point of making it my primary, and deciding if I want to keep the W2.

  2. I disagree, I’ve have a side hustle that picked up 15 rental properties while working my main job! Leverage your j o b to buy rentals…. side Hustle!

  3. Side hustle should be a transition between your main hustle and a new way of hustling.. like a test.. cuz i see ppl saying they make more in their side hustle than main like wth 😂

  4. Not true for all other side hustles. I’m not selling anything on the side. While “EVERYTHING” is selling eventually, I’m doing something that I’m paid for. Regularly… all the time… that is healthy and adds to my with while I’m excelling at my main job… for the the last 15 years
While I may be an outlier, if I csn do it, it can be doable. So, one must talk about themselves when they can’t do two or three side hustles, they should focus on the one they got. Not everybody is like tgat, though. I’m a living example.

  5. I totally disagree – I couldn’t develop my side hustle into my main without my current main to fund it/get approved for loans.

  6. I don’t think anyone is looking at a side hustle as a long term thing. Any time I think of a potential side hustle, it’s main attribute is that it should be able to translate into a main hustle.

  7. I disagree. How the hell else are you supposed to start a YouTube channel? It takes 2-3 years without profit typically. I’m a web developer And while I could make some stupid app at home .. I’m creating content and I love it.

  8. Side hustle is for my free time, I’m not able to work on the weekends, during that time I may be willing to accept lower income potential because that is all supplemental income

  9. I don’t think you can make a blanket statement like this. There are many people that REALLY need to do a side hustle for a bit so they can QUIT their main hustle.

  10. Smacks of privilege. Some of my students’ grandparents work in the fields. Who am I to tell them to work harder rather than doing Uber Eats on the weekends?

  11. That’s some bullsh*t… Are we forgetting about reduced volatility?
What if your main hustle goes belly up, huh?
    How about that?
